If you’re looking for ways to spread the word of your online craft business more quickly, blogging may be an option of interest to you.
Many blog memberships are free for you to use which is an added benefit. I know you’re asking yourself, “How can blogging benefit my business and how can I lure readers?” Well, I’m going to tell you.
1. Blogs are an additional link for potential customers to find you. From there, you can mention your business website link to allow them to browse your products.
2. Blogs allow your customers to get to know you by keeping them up-to-date on your daily or weekly activities and what to expect from you in the future. It makes them feel as though they can trust you.
3. To lure new readers and to keep all readers returning on a regular basis, you can offer free craft tutorials, crafting or housework tips, links to interesting sites that you find helpful, percentage off offers for blog readers only, etc. as bait. Fresh “bait” should be added at least once a month.
Since I started my first blog - http://sewpractical.blogspot.com/ - in November 2007, my sales have increased tremendously. So believe me, it’s worth a try and it only takes a few minutes a week to keep it updated. Good luck and happy blogging.
